Description- An inspiring musical about the power of holding onto your dreams and love against all the odds. With an iconic score including the smash hits Maniac, Manhunt and Flashdance..What a Feeling.

Event- Thats It! Monday Open Mic Sessions (weekly event)

Location- Sin É, Ormond Quay

Description- Thats It! Recordings Open Mic Session: That It Recordings is an open mic every Monday. Just turn up and play. Sign up before 9pm to ensure you get a slot. Bring a USB along with you to get a FREE Recording of your music set!!

Event- Courtney Act – Under the Covers at Tivoli, Dublin

Location- Tivoli Theatre, Francis Street

Description- Courtney has been under the covers with many, but not usually in front of a live audience. It’s time for to get tucked in with all your favourite songs that have been covered in one way or another by all your favourite artists.

Lay back and enjoy the caress of those romantic satin sheets as she strips some songs down and flips others on their back to show you just how gender fluid and genre fluid a great song can be! The sweet dreams Courtney spins will leave you pillow fighting and pillow biting

Event- Harry Potter Quiz

Description- Wands at the ready*, we’re holding a Harry Potter quiz!! Think you know everything about The Boy Who Lived? Well, join us & find out!

Children’s Event- Tiny Tots Tuesday: SENSEable Tots

Location- EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum, Custom House Quay

Description- EPIC is peppered with tales of messers and mischief-makers across the Irish diaspora!

This June we are delighted to welcome Karen from SENSEable Tots who will be running a fun sensory workshop for your little ones. Learn through messy play and exploration at this session, and be sure to wear clothes suitable for messy play! There will be free tea and coffee provided by Bakehouse CHQ, as well as some lovely treats and a chance to sit back, relax and have the chats.

Participants at this event can also avail of a 20% discount on tickets to our museum.

This event is suitable for children aged 6 months – 3.5 Years.’

Wednesday

Event- Dublin Symphony Orchestra 50th Anniversary Concert

Location- National Concert Hall

Description- Come join the DSO as they celebrate their 50th Anniversary in style. Conducted by Elaine Kelly, the programme will include Shostakovich’s Festive Overture, Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A Min with Lance Coburn.

Event- Food Challenge Night w/ Randy Santel (Atlas), Magic Mitch and Guests!

Location- Token, Smithfeild

Description- One of the world’s most famous professional eaters, Randy Santel (Atlas), caught wind of our Totally Fried Food Challenge and wants to take it down! We’ve been long term admirers of his work, and are absolutely flattered that he’ll be coming to Token to conquer our challenge! He’ll have Magic Mitch with him, and both will individually try and take down our Totally Fried platter withing the allowed 20 minutes!

On the night, we’ll clear out part of our ground floor seating area and set it up to spectate the event. Randy, Mitch, and a few special surprise guests will be front & center on our wrestling ring!

Cost- Free (but ticketed) for spectators, if you want to try and take down the Totally Fried Challenge on the night, you’ll be required to buy a ticket which covers the cost of the challenge (€20) prior to the event. If you finish it you’ll get your money back and be forever immortalised on our Food Challenge Wall of Fame!

Thursday

Event- Trad Thursdays (weekly event)

Location-BRÚ House, Fairview

Description- Featuring only the finest ingredients, home grown and locally crafted talent with tons of tunes and songs a-plenty.
The good stuff guaranteed, unplugged and with no nasty additives, electro or chemical enhancements, just the pure drop like our beers!

Always a mix of instrumental and singing, mostly Irish with Scottish, English and American folk thrown in. We are all local musicians with many years experience and a wealth of material.

Cost- Free to attend

Time- 21.00

Event- MUSIC BINGO

Location- Rody Bolands, Rathmines

Description- Everybody knows Bingo and everybody loves music! RB’s Music Bingo is a new type of bingo-game that combines both. The numbers are replaced with popular music clips.

Here’s how it works:
Instead of regular numbers we play the best songs that gets the people jamming and singing along!

Lots of prizes & Great Fun

Cost- No indication of a price online, I also called the bar and the guy who answered didn’t know whether you have to pay or not so I assume it’d either be free or a small fee (sorry about this but when the business themselves don’t add a price and don’t know when I call there’s little I can do!)

Event- 4 in a Bar: The Vocal Harmony of Ireland

Location- National Concert Hall

Description- Around this time ten years ago, four singing friends were drawn together in a search for fresh inspiration. Ten years and many a cappella adventures later, the Dublin quartet 4 in a Bar celebrates its longevity.

Cost- €15-17

Event- Glória DLGC ‘Bright & Gay’ Summer Concert with special guest

Location- St Werburgh’s Church

Description- Glória, Dublin’s LGBT Choir proudly presents ‘Bright & Gay’ our Summer Concert 2018. With special guest, Irish Tenor Eoin Hynes. Come along to experience the camp to the classical.

Saturday

Event- A Burlesque Odyssey

Location- The Button Factory

Description- Ever wondered what Burlesque might look like in the future? Join us for ‘A Burlesque Odyssey’, as Ireland’s biggest burlesque show returns. We have the crème de la crème of original Irish burlesque performers, featuring the most fabulous show girls (and boys!).
We will showcase acts, inspired by the future and set in otherworldly dimensions. Come with us as we voyage into the unknown and experience an enchanting evening of the alluring, the fascinating and the futuristic…

Event- Mary McAleese in conversation with Ursula Halligan

Location- Gonzaga College SJ, Sandford Road, Dublin 6

Description- Mary McAleese served two terms as President of Ireland and won great admiration for her work building bridges. Since then she has studied Canon Law in Rome and continues her efforts to help bring the Catholic Church into the 21st century. In particular her focus has been on the Church’s un-Christian treatment of women and of LGBTI individuals, couples & their families.

Sunday

Event- BBQ & shisha day party

Location- Penthouse Wright Venue, Swords

Description-  End of ramadan bbq & shisha, Music by dj fiifii \ dj neptizzle/Dj jay \ dj deco \ dj ebay.

Champagne reception.

Cost- Free entry • 3pm to 5pm only

Time- Starts at 15.00, food served between 16.00-21.00. Doors open till late

 

Event- Future Islands – Energia Park

Location- Energia Park (Donnybrook Stadium) Dublin

Description- Future Islands & full line-up of special guests. Following their spellbinding sold out summer show at Iveagh Gardens, Future Islands announce their return to the city with a headline show at Energia Park.

Children’s Event- Paint With Dad!

Location- EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum

Description- This Father’s Day at EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum, we’ll be hosting a ‘Paint with Dad!’ workshop in partnership with Giddy Studios. Bring dad along as your creative inspiration and paint a mug just for him! Together you’ll come up with a design, choose your colours and paint your patterns onto precast pottery. Dad will forever treasure this mug on his tea and coffee breaks, and best of all it will have been designed by his favourite artist. We’ll also be designing some pop-up Father’s Day cards as part of the workshop.

This event is suitable for families of all ages! Pre-booking is essential as places are limited.
