Dressing For Transitional Weather

Irish spring weather calls for outfits that can cover all eventualities… we will literally get the 4 seasons in 1 day! Soooo, to combat that I usually go for lighter fabrics under lots of layers. After all it is still, for the most part, absolutely Baltic!

I got this jacket in a Melbourne vintage market when I lived there a few years back but, even thought I don’t get that much wear out of it, I still can’t bring myself to part with it. It’s so beautifully warm, by far the warmest piece of clothing that I own leaving me feeling like it’s a lot more functional that it probably is!

I wanted the contrast of the crop and jacket to speak for itself so I kept the rest of the look very simple and pared back with my classic leather ankle boots, high waisted Dr.Denim jeans & this perfect army green shirt from the H&M conscious collection; I’ve been loving H&M recently and that collection in particular is one of my faves.

Despite having lighter pieces as the foundation of this look, the layering and heavy outerwear kept me perfectly warm all day… Great for times when your out and about in a wide variety of temperatures.
