Too Faced ‘Born This Way’

Having heard endless ravings about the Too Faced ‘Born This Way’ foundation I was so eager to try it out for myself but, after popping into Debenhams a few times trying to source it my shades were constantly out of stock… seems like I wasn’t the only one yearning to get my hands on this beauty gem!

Below are unedited images from the start and the end of the fist day I wore it. I didn’t touch it up once or add any powders… I did nothing to my face for the whole day (except take my lipstick off, obviously!) & the end result was so impressive.

Shade I used

I couldn’t decide whether Vanilla or Nude would suit me better so I went for both & so far have been mixing them together. For reference my skin tone is NC20 in Mac.

My Skintype

A little oily around my T zone with hormonal breakouts along my jawline. It gets drier during the winter months but fairly ‘normal’ overall.

First Impression

-Super lightweight feel.

-Didn’t set too quickly so very build-able.

-Sets to a really nice, semi-matte finish.

-It didn’t slide, separate or oxidise at all. My makeup looked so fresh after wearing it for about 9 hours.

Notes

Settles into the skin in a slightly dewy way without looking shiny.

This product is fragrance free which is a plus for me but it does not contain SPF which is a negative for me (but wouldn’t change my decision to wear it)

A little bit goes a long way with half a pump of each bringing the look to fairly full coverage without looking cakey.

Overall

I’ve used Born This Way every day for the last week to really test it out before I sat down to write this review & I can say without doubt that its my new favorite foundation. I love the level of coverage it offers without looking heavy on my skin.

**Disclaimer: Debenhams kindly gifted me this foundation with absolutely no strings attached, I am sharing it with you lovely folk simply because I think its bloody great & was not paid or encouraged in any way to write this post. x

Thank you very much for this review, I’ve been thinking to purchase this baby one and you helped me a lot because I’m NC20 and my skin tipe it’s equally at yours. Hugs
