Monday

Event- BBQ event with Trinity Geocaching Society

Location- Trinity College (exact location will be shared when you e-mail the address listed below)

Description- We host different upcoming Geocaching events next month. We invite all students to join us Trinity GCS at Trinity campus to enjoy our BBQ and our outdoor lunch. After the Geocaching events, we always end tracking a box altogether. Explore with your friends and family our private caches hidden. It is a self-guided activity but the experience is exciting.

The True Story of a Belfast boy growing up with no father to guide him through, and a giant ball to weigh him down. 400 millilitres. That’s how much liquid was drained from Michael’s left testicle when he was a teenager. That’s more than a can of coke. He should have told someone sooner, but who could he turn to? His dad died ten years ago and besides, school is full of rumours about what the giant bulge in his trousers actually is. Who wants to stop that Nominated for the “Bewley’s Little Gem Award” at the Dublin Fringe for the best show under one hour.

Description- Bricks 4 Kidz is offering LEGO® Technic Easter Camps this Easter for Girls & Boys aged 5-12

Tuesday

Event- Self-Care Workshop hosted by Psychologists for Choice (more dates)

Location- 14 Mount Street Upper

Description- Psychs4choice are offering a free self-care workshop for all repealers in the campaign to repeal the eight amendment.

These workshops aim to provide repealers with important self-care skills during what is going to be a busy few months. Tea, coffee and refreshments will be provided, all are welcome!

Event- Vegan Tasting Event 

Location- Platform 61, South William Street

Description- Vegan nibbles and tasters will be available from our new vegan menu, as well as some delicious vegan surprises! After the tasting, you are welcome to join us for a special two (€20) or three (€25) course dinner. This event is free of charge however, booking is essential.

Children’s Event- 4-Day Visual Art Camps for ages 8-12 (more dates)

Location- The Ark, 11a Eustace St, Temple Bar

Description- Be part of the youngest architectural design team in town! During this enjoyable and highly creative camp you will work in groups to plan, design and build a model for The Children’s Quarter, a new urban development and landmark for the city of Dublin.

From brainstorming and then sketching ideas, you will then create detailed drawings and construct 3D models. Working with artist Jole Bortoli, you will be one of the lead architects who will contribute to creating a model city of the future. A city every child would want to live in and urban planners would want to consult you about.

Cost- €120 per child for 4 days

Time- Camp 1- Mon 26 – Thu 29 March @ 10am-2pm each day. Camp 2- Tue 3-Fri 6 April @ 10am-2pm each day.

Wednesday

Event- Beyoncé Hip Hop Workshop

Location- Dance Theatre of Ireland, Centre for Dance, Bloomfields Centre, Lower Georges St., Dun Laoghaire

Description- As part of Dance Theatre of Ireland’s Spring Special Workshop series, Sandro’s Back! Our wonderful guest teacher—so popular last year—Sandro Franchini (UK/Italy), teaches Beyoncé choreography like no one else.

Learn excerpts from “Run the World (Girls)” and Formation. Sandro has performed in Beyoncé’s “I AM” World Tour and toured with TAKE THAT & other groups. All levels welcome.

Event- Glass Exhibition – CAUTION! Fragile Irish Glass(more dates)

Location- National Museum Of Ireland

Description- A multi faceted exhibition of glass sculpture that embraces Irish culture and
identity through themes of landscape, language and music.

This exhibition looks at the history and social experience of working in the Waterford Crystal factory and the impact of the factory closure on the participating Master Glassmakers: Fred Curtis, Eamonn Hartley, Greg Sullivan and artist Róisín de Buitléar.

Glass swords, bells and musical instruments are included in this diverse and family friendly exhibition. Come and experience glass like you have never seen or heard it before. The exhibition includes original music composed with some of the pieces in the show.

Event- The Time Travelling Circus: The Recent Return of Pablo Fanque and the Electrolier by Katrina Palmer (more dates)

Location- Temple Bar Gallery + Studios

Description-  New work by British artist Katrina Palmer. Palmer uses words as a sculptural form, exploring sensuous objects, absences and material uncertainties, through storytelling.

Elaborated audio environments, found objects and publications are employed to create narrative situations in which the viewer can experience her work. Foregrounding words, Palmer often invites the audience to imagine items that are indicated, but not fully present.

Event- LUMIX G Street Photography Workshop with Damien Demolder

Location- The Fitzwilliam Hotel, Stephen’s Green

Description- Suitable for street photographers of all experience levels – from beginners to advanced – this event will be about learning to see and shoot in new ways and gaining a new appreciation of the importance of light.

Friday

Event- Ranelagh Gin Fest 

Location- The Hill Pub, Old Mount Pleasant

Description- Our first Gin Fest of 2018 kicks off on Friday 30th March at 6pm. All of our Gin & Tonic cocktails are €6 each. With your ticket price you get 2 Gin & Tonic drinks vouchers on arrival & your own table for as long as you like. Tickets must be booked in advance for all the tables in the back of the bar.

Children’s Event- Penguins

Location- Pavilion Theatre, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire

Description- This delightful new theatre and dance production is inspired by a true story reported in the New York Times that touched hearts worldwide. The creative team includes award-winning children’s Director Paul Bosco Mc Eneaney and international Choreographer Carlos Pons Guerra.

Roy and Silo are two male Chinstrap penguins. Just like the other penguin pairs at Central Park Zoo, they walk, play, swim and dance together. When the duo decide to try to hatch a rock in place of an egg, they find themselves on an adventure that could mean raising a chick for real! When being different brings the most wonderful of surprises…

Event- The Lowest Pair gig

Location- The Séamus Ennis Arts Centre, Naul, Fingal, Co. Dublin

Description- Rarely will you hear such beautiful American roots music so perfectly performed.

Kendl Winter and Palmer T. Lee have found themselves in the premier league after gaining a reputation as one of the most original old-time influenced duos working the US circuit. The duo first combined in 2013 and quickly established a big Stateside following. They had a triumphant UK debut (one of the main visiting attractions flown in for the Shetland Folk Festival and front cover exposure on the programme of Edinburgh’s TradFest too).
