Forbidden Fruit Festival Fashion

Festivals can be tricky enough to dress for without dodgy weather becoming a factor but that’s exactly what happened at Dublin’s Forbidden fruit this year… sheets of rain and even hailstones (!?) were what revelers had to contend with over the weekend leaving us with the the dilemma of how to look festival chic without accessorizing with hypothermia!

I absolutely love this Folkster sequin skirt, its can be teamed with a distressed band tee & layers of necklaces for a grunge look that’ll see you through any day into night or, with a simple cami to let the skirt do the talking… which is what I did in this case. I added my free people belt just in case there wasn’t already enough bling going on (it IS a festival after all; anything goes) and kept the rest muted with a leather jacket and white cami.

I’d been saving these metallic tattoos from the Parfois event knowing that I wanted to incorporate them into festival outfits but decided to go against the suggested arm placements & threw one onto my forehead instead. I’m pretty unadventurous with make up so a metallic tattoo & some glitter was enough to make me feel like a serious effort had been made!
I have another 2 festivals planned for over the summer so now its back to the drawing board in terms of festival outfits… lets hope there’s no snow forecast for Body & soul!
