3 Festive outfits To Style From Clothes You Already Own

Left it too late (… and didn’t leave enough money…) to go shopping for those new festive outfits?? Don’t stretch the cocktail budget for new threads…. style outfits from pieces you already own!

For this post I went through my wardrobe to create 3 ‘laid back dressy’ looks that’ll have you looking nothing short of fab-u-lous this festive season. By keeping the looks dressy but not overdone you’ll meet the dress code no matter what the occasion and chances are, you’ll already own similar pieces to those styled in these looks.

Hope you guys love them xx

If you own any style of black skirt or shorts why not add a chunky knit & ankle boots to put an effortless look together? The key to this outfit is adding heels, a bold lip & a dressy bag…. these add a dressy element to the otherwise casual knitwear. Pull the whole look together with an updo which will compliment the neckline & statement lip beautifully.

Boyfriend jeans & a blazers are 2 things most of you are likely to have in your arsenal but perhaps never thought of styling together? I love the juxtaposition of baggy trousers & heels so I’d added these high court shoes to dress the look up & keep the jeans from looking too casual for a dressy occasion

I’ve allowed the sultry top to be the focal point of the outfit by keeping the accessories to a minimal.

Shoes- Korkys*. Blazer & boyfriend jeans- H&M. Top- Boohoo*. Clutch- Pennys.

Culottes & sleeveless blazers were HUGE this summer but many (perhaps more sensible…) folk may have stored them away for when we see the sun again- why not drag them back out to style them into a chic festive look? I kept colour to a minimum since theres lots of layering going on but there are plenty of ways to interpret this look for yourself.

By adding a jumper under the sleeveless jacket I’ve managed to keep the chill at bay but you can go for nude or black tights if you’re not digging the bare legs in winter. By adding a lighter top under the jumper you can change the look up to suit the location.

Culottes & jumper- Topshop. Sleeveless blazer- Balmain for H&M. Shoes (as before)- Korkys*.
