Where to Eat in Dublin 2015

Finding places to eat in Dublin can be be difficult but, not because lack of choice; it’s actually the exact opposite. Dublin is full of amazing places to eat so, choosing the right one that fits both the occasion and budget can be daunting… add to that my penchant for constantly trying new places & you soon have yourself a dilemma!

My answer to this dilemma is ‘the list’! As some of you know I’m an avid list writer… everything from movies to brunch places, I have lots & lots of lists. As well as my restaurant suggestions, some of my better known lists include ‘outfit ideas’ which very descriptively record clothing combinations that I’ve suddenly thought of (usually at the most inconvenient time) with accessories & shoes all noted.

I call my restaurants list the ‘get it done‘ list & it’s extensivvvvvee!… Subheadings include brunch, lunch, dinner, cheap, & special occasions. This is how it works; if I see a review I like on Lovin Dublin or Zomato, I do a quick Instagram search for real customers photos, then I can see what the food actually looks like and what they had to say about it. From this I can make a decision on whether or not to add it to the list.

You have to start doing this 😀 With so many great places to eat in Dublin it’s impossible to remember all the ones you’ve heard of or were recommended. Keeping a list is such an easy way to have an amazing selection of restaurants for when that ‘hey wanna go for brunch?’ moment arises. Nothing worse than an impulsive dinner date being ruined by lack of inspiration!

It’s all about getting into the routine; See a good restaurant? Put it on the list! Don’t have time to research it? Put it on the ‘restaurants for research’ list! It really is that easy, especially when I almost always have my phone on me.  After a couple of weeks doing this you’ll be surprised at how much choice you have… suddenly, answering ‘where to eat?’ will be easy.

Having been in Ibiza for half of September, I was holding out on dining out to save on cost (… and calories!). Nevertheless, I managed to seek out some little gems when I wasn’t busy packing or recovering; here’s what I uncovered in Dublin since we last talked food

I went to Dublin for the first time this year and was so impressed by the amount of cool eateries in the city, I need to add these to my list for my next visit.

I definitely think we have a great selection… it seems like you have to do a bit of research to find them but, they’re always worth the hunt! x
