 Long Avoca Cape

I found this perfect long Avoca cape in a Camden street charity shop and, needless to say, I was sure it was to be mine as soon as I clapped eyes on it. Capes are having a serious moment this season but, on one hand, I havent been drawn towards the complex patterns that are offered on the high street… on the other hand the higher end pieces are out of my price range!

I’d given up on growing my collection until this beauty came into my eye line. It was costly for a thrifted piece but I recon it would have been around 10 times the price new. It’s also surprisingly warm which is a bonus at this very chilly time of year.

Iv had it for almost a month now but havent been able to find the right time to style it; I wanted to let the cape be the statement piece and pair it with basics but cream can be difficult as I definitely lean towards white tones in my basics collection. I decided to dress it with this vintage silk cream blouse to blend it but at the same time alow it to make its statement.

Boots; ASOS. Skort; f21 via the Dublin flea market. Clutch; Primark.
