BYO is a fantastic option for wine lovers, large groups or, dinner dates that have the potential to end with dancing.

With Dublin’s fantastic food scene it’s no surprise that we have many an epic restaurant that’ll serve you great food while pouring your own wine…. here are my 10 personal faves (in no particular order)-

1 Dada, South William street

Delicious hearty Moroccan food, a variety of seating options from intimate alcoves to banquet style tables for large groups.

2 Kerala Kitchen, Baggot street

Super tasty Indian fare served by some of the friendliest staff I’ve ever come across in a gorgeous Georgian building. From the front this little gem may look small but don’t let that deceive you… climb the stairs to enjoy your delicious food in a stunning dining room with big bright windows & beautiful decor.

3 The Vintage Kitchen, Poolbeg street

This spot is notoriously hard to get a booking in, they did pay heed to this & open a sister restaurant, The Little Kitchen serving the same menu & also BYO.

If you’re lucky enough to get a booking here you can expect to enjoy a beautiful 3-course meal in a great atmosphere. Take the later sitting if lingering over your chardonnay is sacred.

4 Zakura, Wexford Street

Fresh, tasty Japanese food, wide menu selection, lovely atmosphere, great little place.

5 Sova Vegan Butchers

Delicious, creative and progressive vegan menu, friendly setting and they’re dog friendly; what more could you want!

This place is epic for some many reasons but fundamentally the food tastes & looks great, its a great place to go with non-vegan friends to try something different and their set menu is brilliant value… winning all round!
