My Top 10 Dublin BYO Restaurants

Food & Drink
Previous Post

BYO is a fantastic option for wine lovers, large groups or, dinner dates that have the potential to end with dancing.

With Dublin’s fantastic food scene it’s no surprise that we have many an epic restaurant that’ll serve you great food while pouring your own wine…. here are my 10 personal faves (in no particular order)-

1 Dada, South William street

Delicious hearty Moroccan food, a variety of seating options from intimate alcoves to banquet style tables for large groups.

2 Kerala Kitchen, Baggot street

Super tasty Indian fare served by some of the friendliest staff I’ve ever come across in a gorgeous Georgian building. From the front this little gem may look small but don’t let that deceive you… climb the stairs to enjoy your delicious food in a stunning dining room with big bright windows & beautiful decor.

3 The Vintage Kitchen, Poolbeg street

This spot is notoriously hard to get a booking in, they did pay heed to this & open a sister restaurant, The Little Kitchen serving the same menu & also BYO.

If you’re lucky enough to get a booking here you can expect to enjoy a beautiful 3-course meal in a great atmosphere. Take the later sitting if lingering over your chardonnay is sacred.

4 Zakura, Wexford Street

Fresh, tasty Japanese food, wide menu selection, lovely atmosphere, great little place.

5 Sova Vegan Butchers

Delicious, creative and progressive vegan menu, friendly setting and they’re dog friendly; what more could you want!

This place is epic for some many reasons but fundamentally the food tastes & looks great, its a great place to go with non-vegan friends to try something different and their set menu is brilliant value… winning all round!

6 Seagrass, Portobello

Great location, fresh seasonal menu offerings and a decent sized room downstairs which caters for groups giving you more privacy than sitting in an open plan restaurant

7 Musashi’s Capel street

An institution for Asian food lovers… this little gem specialises in sushi & noodle dishes; lots of beautiful food in a bustling setting.

8 Damascus Gate, Camden street

Fantastic Syrian & Lebanese restaurant offering delicious food, great sharing dishes and shisha pipes to finish (or start!) the night off.

I was here recently as the kick off spot for a night out with friends & we were really impressed; great service, tasty food, great price, friendly staff & a relaxed atmosphere.

Notable mentions: Cocu Chatham Street is currently running a BYO pop up every Saturday & Sunday and, Pupp, Clanbrassil street offers occasional evening menu events which are BYO…. both fantastic little dog friendly spots.

There you have it guys, really hope you enjoy checking these places out & making the most of our beautiful city with friends. As always, if there’s somewhere you think I should try please comment to let me know xx

We travelled 14 countries but where did we go?🤔 We left only 18 months after college but how did we afford it?🤔 What are some of the craziest/scariest things that happened?🤔 What did I learn about packing from living out of a bag for 25 months?🤔 What did leaving on a one-way flight & living on €25 a day actually teach me?🤔 All this & more is answered in the travel series as well as sharing my fave photos from each country we visited, really hope you guys enjoy reading it ❤️❤️❤️x Unreal location for last week's @monsoonuk & @accessorize SS17 press preview- the collections were so beautiful, if you're looking for festival outfits or something for a summer wedding make sure to check Monsoon Hope everyone ms having a chill Sunday, I'm taking it easy after an epic day of adventure around Dublin yesterday So many exciting things in the pipeline for the blog so Monday, I'm more than ready for you x
