Budapest City Break

We spent a few days In Budapest last week enjoying the city, Id never been before so it was brilliant to roam an unfamiliar place and take in all the sights and sounds (and tastes!).

It was pretty chilly over there but I wanted to ensure that I was warm enough to walk around all day so I had a task to put together looks that were both stylish and functional. These looks involve lots of hidden laying so that you can keep the cold at bay without having to cover up the whole look… I’m actually wearing 7 top layers in this look!

A hat was essential for everyday wear but I went with a less conventional H&M matador to keep my head toasty in this look. My H&M leather ankle boots were comfortable enough to walk for hours in and finally, I added a little boho element by layering with this thrifted kimono.

It was a brilliant few days, I would definitely recommend Budapest as a little city break for anyone… for someone who’s more accustomed to months of backpacking as opposed to a few days of city-roaming, I was skeptical as to whether 4 days would be enough to get a grasp of the place but I left feeling satisfied that we’d gotten a good taste of all the Budapest has to offer.

(Apologies for the grainy photo quality, it was a very hazy day but too beautiful not to do a shoot)
