Kerala Kitchen, Ballsbridge

Kerala Kitchen, Baggot street1

Kerala Kitchen, Ballsbridge

MENU/DISHES:

Gorgeous authentic Indian food. We went for the Chicken tikka, chicken lababdar, the lassis to finish & a few different starters… we were starving!

PRICE POINT:

Really reasonable with the mains coming in at around the €10 price point… really generous portions served from the restaurant make this pricing even more generous as you’re likely to be going home with a doggy bag for later!

ATMOSPHERE:

I’ve walked past Kerala Kitchen a few times & assumed it to be a take away spot so I more than pleasantly surprised to see that they have a dining area behind the service desk and a gorgeous room upstairs. The upstairs room is decorated beautifully with big windows and high ceilings in keeping with the stunning buildings around that area. They have bench-style dining in this room AND they also offer BYO… what more could you want!?

SERVICE:

A lot of the staff are native to India or neighboring countries so they were very knowledgeable to the flavor profiles of the dishes & passionate about ensuring we had an enjoyable experience in Kerala Kitchen.

WHY I LIKED IT ENOUGH TO SHARE:

Having spent time in India I’ve missed the authentic flavour that can be hard to get in places back here in Ireland… moreover, places that do serve authentic Indian flavours tend to charge steeply for it so Kerala Kitchen’s inexpensive price point, friendly staff and ‘hidden gem’ style dining experience all made this spot worthy of a place on the list

PERFECT FOR:

A birthday party… the benches & BYO option are perfect for any small celebration with friends.
