Gorgeous seasonal options with an interesting flare. We went for the celeriac salad & agnolotti of parmesan, squash & black cabbage to start then the braised short rib & lamb mains.
They’ve a set lunch menu of 2 courses for €26 or 3 for €32… we went for the 2 courses & felt it was good value for money considering the quality of ingredients.
Calm, relaxed atmosphere. Feels a touch formal without being fussy.
The staff were amazing, they were attentive without being overbearing and you could tell their genuine passion for the food by talking to them.
They ensured our glasses were always topped up and offered to take our coats when we arrived (insignificant to some but I hate having to sit beside a pile of coats… especially during the winter months when they take up half the seat!)

I wouldn’t be overexerting to say that Forest Avenue has been on my elusive list for three.blody.years!! I tried several times to get a last minute reservation with no avail so I was almost afraid I’d be disappointed after such a build up… I wasn’t. It was a fantastic experience, really special.
